Why Over How

The best measure of a teacher's effectiveness is how students perform on an assessment that the teacher did not create. I had the pleasure of teaching AP Calculus AB to the most fantastic group of students. It felt great to have my teaching strategies validated with my students' performance on the external end of year AP Calculus AB Exam. As a group, my students had an absurdly high average score of 4.29 out of 5 while the global average was 2.91 and the average across all Florida institutions was just 2.84. 

Additionally, at the very minimum my students nearly doubled the state and global averages in every single category and metric. The number of students who scored a 5 on the exam was more than 260% higher than the global average!
